Palin visit to city confirmed as stop on ‘Rogue’ tour

Palin

Former Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin is headed to Fort Wayne for a book signing.

An e-mail from HarperCollins on Thursday night confirmed Palin will be in Fort Wayne on Nov. 19 at the Meijer store on Maysville Road.

CNN reported Thursday that Fort Wayne is on the list of stops for Palin’s book tour for her memoir, titled “Going Rogue,” starting Nov. 18.

Allen County Republican Party Chairman Steve Shine earlier said he knew of nothing definitive.

He did say that coming to Fort Wayne – a stop during the 2008 presidential campaign – would make sense.

“This market would be a treasure trove for her,” he said.

“It was one of the most successful stops during the campaign. It was overwhelming.”

Palin likely will stop at a Borders in Noblesville – another city she visited during the campaign.
