Feeding the hungry
The University of Saint Francis is conducting its USF Feeds the Fort food drive through Friday at Trinity Hall. For information, call 399-7700, ext. 8004. Donations will be given to area food banks and soup kitchens.
Kroger is conducting its Share Your Feast food drive through Dec. 24. Customers can buy $3, $5 or $10 pre-bagged food or make cash donations.
Carroll Road Christian Church is conducting a food drive from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 14 in the parking lot of Kroger at Dupont and Coldwater roads. Donations will be given to Community Harvest Food Bank. For information, call 637-7770, ext. 101, or e-mail jenny@carrollroad.com.

People helping people
Socks for Seniors is accepting donations of new socks to be distributed to area nursing homes during Christmas week. Military support
Operation U.S. Troop Support is accepting donations of socks, toiletries, snacks, batteries and DVDs through Dec. 15 at the office of Fred Bokel, 5730 Falls Drive, Suite 200 and the Southwest Allen County Schools Administration Building, 4824 Homestead Road. American Legion Riders Benefit
Fundraiser for Vets will be at 4 p.m. today at Post 499, 4830 Hillegas Road. The spaghetti dinner will be from 4 to 7 p.m. for $6 and Walkin Papers will perform at 7 p.m.
