Deadly shooting possibly related to game

Fort Wayne police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and might be related to a Russian roulette style game.

At about 4:45 a.m. today, police arrived at the 2600 block of Carver Court to find a 20-year-old man in critical condition with an apparent gunshot wound to the head. The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said in a statement.

Authorities are interviewing multiple witnesses who were present at the time of the shooting to determine whether they were involved a Russian roulette style game prior to the shooting, police spokesperson Liza Thomas said.

The Allen County Coroner’s office is expected to conduct an autopsy today and identify the victim.
