Aerosmith’s lead guitarist Joe Perry says the legendary band isn’t breaking up.

Perry said Aerosmith is “looking for a new singer to work with” amid speculation about the future of the band and front man Steven Tyler.

Tyler, 61, has said he is considering a solo career.

Dropped case sought

A TV news producer accused of blackmailing David Letterman in exchange for keeping quiet about his sexual affairs was only trying to sell the late-night host a screenplay, a defense lawyer said.

Robert J. “Joe” Halderman’s lawyer asked a judge to toss the attempted grand larceny case, saying Halderman did nothing illegal in slipping Letterman documents alluding to the dalliances and taking a $2 million check from Letterman’s lawyer.

Horwitz said Letterman is prepared to testify if the case goes to trial.
