And Another Thing

Don't drink the water, or something

Food vendors at The Luke in, um, hot water

Well, this is finer than a cruise on a garbage scow. Apparently Lucas Oil Stadium not only cost folks in Indianapolis an arm and a leg, it might also cost them some gastrointestinal distress.

This after the news got out this week that several food vendors in the Luke got nailed by the health inspectors for being, um, less than spotless. Now executives at the Stamford-based food contractor Centerplate are pledging to clean up their act (literally) and install a 24-hour hotline to report violations.

Question: Why aren't they just being shut down until they clean up their act?

That would seem to be the safe route here. Instead, Colts fans and other visitors to The Luke will just have to comfort themselves with corporate pledges that the food is safe to eat.

Me, I think a variation on the old "Don't drink the water" adage is in order.

Don't eat the nachos. Or whatever.
