No update on Jackson

There's no news to report on injured point guard Lewis Jackson, coach Matt Painter said during his weekly teleconference with reporters Monday.

Jackson injured his foot during Thursday's practice last week and is out indefinitely.

Painter said he hopes to have more news within the next couple of days. He said he isn't sure whether Jackson will travel with the team to the Virgin Islands for the Paradise Jam tournament this week.

In Jackson's absence, senior Keaton Grant will continue to start and freshman Kelsey Barlow will be the backup point guard.

"You have to worry about what you have," Painter said. "Right now, we're just trying to help (Jackson) get through this and see where we are here in the next couple days with it. ... If you sit around and worry, 'Well, we don't have this guy or we don't have that guy,' then you're going to get beat. We have to be locked in and ready to go."
