    A female driver was listed in critical condition after a one-car crash Sunday night, according to Fort Wayne police.The crash occurred about 8:30 p.m. in the 5900 block of East State Boulevard.

1 hunter dies, 1 critically injured

One hunter died in northeast Indiana this weekend and another was critically injured.

Jerry L. Adair, 65, of Goshen, died while hunting for deer near 5526 West Noble County Road 200 North, in the Kimmell area, Indiana conservation officers reported.

He was last seen about 6:30 a.m. Saturday before going to his tree stand. He was found on the ground under the tree stand by the landowner about 6:50 p.m.

An autopsy was performed Sunday and the cause of death was ruled to be a heart-related medical condition, according to a written statement from conservation officers.

The Noble County Sheriff's Department, Noble County EMS and Noble County Coroner's Office assisted in the death investigation.

Indiana Conservation officers are also investigating a fall from a tree stand in Wells County on Saturday.

Ronald W. Hostetter, 45, of Markle, was hunting deer near 10758 North County Road 200 West when he fell from the tree stand about 4:30 p.m., conservation officers said in a written statement.

Hostetter was flown to Parkview Hospital after calling 911 on his cell phone.

The hospital said he was listed in critical condition Monday morning.

The Wells County Sheriff's Department, Wells County EMS, Ossian Fire & Rescue, and Markle Fire & Rescue and Samaritan Helicopter assisted conservation officers.
