2 area VB players to IUPUI

Two of northeast Indiana's best volleyball players are headed to the same place for college -- IUPUI.

Carroll senior outside hitter Moriah Fair and Leo senior setter Alexis Meeks both signed letters of intent last week with the Jaguars.

"Moriah adds height up front for us, but she is also very quick and plays great defense, which will fit right in with our aggressive back row play," IUPUI coach Steve Payne said in a written statement.

"Alexis is one of the most competitive athletes I have seen. She is going to need that along with her great setting ability to run our offense next year."

Elkhart Memorial senior middle hitter Brittany Anglemeyer also signed with the program.

"I'm excited to be bringing in such a talented class," Payne said. "They will help to continue with the success our program has installed."
