Crean on Watford

Christian Watford scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in Indiana's 69-61 victory against USC-Upstate.

His big three-pointer, a fade-away shot, with 1:44 sealed the victory.

"He's not even scratching the surface," IU coach Tom Crean said. "He is so talented and he's not even close to consistent yet. I'm not here to pat him on the back, we're here to drive him.

"That's a special young man. He can get really, really good."

Crean said Watford still needs to learn how to "play through fatigue."

"He's a very smart basketball player. He picks things up fast. I think he'll figure that out quick."
