Special Prosecutor T. Shawn Hervey has said Carpenter entered Michelle Ross’ home in May, removed items that identified her as the surrogate, and tried to sell them to photographers.

The visibly embarrassed singer grinned and said such a mistake was “every front man’s nightmare.”

Springsteen rocked the forgiving audience for three hours with new and old hits.
