Defendant facing 20 years for kid porn

A 34-year-old Fort Wayne man arrested in a federal child pornography sting pleaded guilty Monday to sexual exploitation of children.

Christopher Ramirez, of the 400 block of Greenwood Avenue, admitted guilt to two counts of a multicount federal indictment issued by a U.S. District Court grand jury in Fort Wayne, admitting to producing and distributing child pornography.

Earlier this month, Ramirez picked up another bundle of charges, this time from state prosecutors.

Ramirez admitted to downloading and storing child pornography on his computer, and admitted to having sexual contact with a 10-year-old girl – performing sex acts on her and having sex with her, according to court documents in both the state and federal case.

He told police and federal agents he took sexually explicit pictures of the girl while she was wearing a dress, but deleted the photographs and did not distribute them, according to federal court documents.

As part of a plea agreement with prosecutors, Ramirez faces a prison sentence of 20 years and forfeits a number of pieces of computer equipment.
