The robbery was reported about 9 a.m. Monday at the store at 2011 Broadway. There, an employee told police two men entered the business with handguns and demanded money. One of the men told the employee they would kill her if she did not comply, the report said.

The men fled on foot to the north. Officers used a police dog to track the men without success. Complete descriptions of the robbers were not available.

Wrong-way driver held in I-69 pursuit

A Michigan man was arrested Sunday morning for driving on the wrong side of Interstate 69 in Steuben County, according to sheriff’s deputies.

George Ebling IV, 37, of Mio, Mich., was taken to the Branch County Jail in Coldwater, Mich. He was being held in lieu of $100,000 bail on a charge from Branch County of fleeing and eluding.

Deputies say Ebling was driving north in the southbound lanes of Interstate 69 just before 4 a.m. Sunday near Angola. When a deputy tried to stop Ebling, he continued to drive at high speed, deputies said.

Ebling continued driving into Michigan until he got off the interstate in Branch County, and was arrested by deputies there.

No charges have been filed yet against Ebling in Steuben County.
