Webster to close downtown

Webster Street is scheduled to close to all traffic between Jefferson and Washington boulevards beginning Wednesday.

Webster is on the west side of Grand Wayne Center. Access to the Allen County Public Library parking lot and the service access for Grand Wayne Center on Webster Street will be open from Jefferson Boulevard, the city's traffic engineering department said in a statement.

The closure will continue for four weeks, weather permitting, the statement said.

Crosby Excavating Inc. will install storm and sanitary sewer lines along Webster in this area, it said.
