Being one of the nation's leaders in sacks has vaulted junior defensive end Ryan Kerrigan to the watch list for the Ted Hendricks Award.
Kerrigan is tied for eighth nationally with 11 sacks. That total leads the Big Ten. It's four shy of tying the school season-single record (Rosevelt Colvin, 1998).
Kerrigan also is tied for 13th nationally with 16.5 tackles for loss, which ranks third in the league.
The winner of the award, given to the nation's top defensive end, will be announced Dec. 9.
