Medical equipment firm moving HQ to Allen County

Maxim Medical Services announced Thursday that it is moving its distribution and headquarters operation to Allen County.

The Fort Wayne-Allen County Economic Development Alliance said Maxim will invest $1.6 million to begin operations at 12632 U.S. 33, which is southeast of Churubusco and just east of the Whitley County line.

The project is scheduled for completion in 2012 and will bring 51 new positions to Allen County, the announcement said.

Maxim Medical Services is now in LaOtto, in Noble County, and employs 26.

Maxim Medical Services installs, re-manufactures and sells medical equipment to health care facilities and clients. The company said it has technicians across the nation.
