Fresh off her triumph at the Country Music Association Awards, Taylor Swift has netted a deal to create a line of greeting cards.

American Greetings Corp. CEO Zev Weiss says Swift’s abilities as a storyteller and songwriter make her a natural for writing cards for all ages.

The Cleveland-based company said that cards, gift wrap, stationery, online greetings and other products overseen by Swift, 19, will begin appearing in the spring.

Star talks M.J., self-image

Janet Jackson says she knew of brother Michael’s drug problem and tried to help, but he resisted.

“You can’t make ’em drink the water,” Jackson told ABC News in an interview that aired Wednesday.

Jackson, 43, also spoke of her diet book, “True You,” which chronicles her lifelong struggle to control her weight. She gained mastery over her self-image after years of “just picking yourself apart all the time because you’re so used to being kind of picked apart.”

Actor dishes in Dallas

Billy Crystal traded a stage for a Salvation Army center to help serve an early Thanksgiving lunch to the needy in Dallas. The comedian and sports fan said “this isn’t gonna play well in New Jersey” as he put on a Cowboys jersey with his name and No. 9, the number of Dallas’ Tony Romo.

Crystal, a native New Yorker, is in Dallas for performances of his autobiographical one-man play “700 Sundays.” He spent the day offering pumpkin pie and visiting with diners, serving up one-liners.

Star of TV hits can’t spill

Ian Somerhalder is in two of TV’s hottest shows – but can’t say much about either. Somerhalder plays bad-boy vampire Damon on The CW’s “Vampire Diaries” and returns from the dead to appear in ABC’s final season of “Lost.”

As for spoilers, Somerhalder will only say that the “Lost” script was so detailed, it “weighed about three pounds” and that he wears the same clothes he did five years ago.

As for “Vampire Diaries,” he reveals that Damon is going to do something that makes him “not as all powerful as he used to be.”

Richie was in court this week asking for (and being granted) a restraining order against two celebrity photographers.
