Hunter gets the call

The season hasn't even begun yet, and already the Mad Ants are down one center and up one call-up.

Chris Hunter became the first call-up of the NBA Development League season today when the Golden State Warriors signed him. It's the second call-up of Hunter's career; the New York Knicks signed him on April 14 of last season.

A 2009 NBADL All-Star, Hunter started 49 games for the Ants last year, averaging 19.3 points and 9.5 rebounds in 32.8 minutes. He scored in double figures 44 times with a high of 34 points on Feb. 19 against Sioux Falls and April 5 against Tulsa, both wins.
