Pizza robbery suspect caught

Fort Wayne police have arrested one suspect in the robbery of a pizza delivery driver this month.

Joshua Daniel Pence, 22, of the 400 block of Wallen Hills Drive, is accused of calling in a Pizza Hut order for the 6200 block of St. Joe Road about 11 p.m. Nov. 3.

When the driver arrived, Pence and another man threatened him with a handgun and a 2-by-4, according to court documents filed Thursday in Allen Superior Court. The men then took the driver’s pizza, cigarettes and cash.

Employees at the McDonald’s where the call was placed identified Pence. Police also matched his fingerprints to one found after the robbery, court documents said.
