Washington is now scheduled to open be 1 p.m. It was closed to all traffic between Harrison and Ewing streets overnight.
The Fort Wayne Traffic Engineering Department originally said the closure will begin 10 p.m. Thursday and end by 6 a.m. Friday, but it issued a notice this morning saying the opening was delayed until 9 a.m. by a conflict of utilities.
That has now been pushed back to 1 p.m.
The closure was to allow Crosby Excavating Inc. to complete the extension of the storm sewer across Washington at Webster Street.
The detour will use Harrison, Berry Street and Fairfield Avenue.
