Ice Chips

  • Looks almost official
Center Thomas Frazee posted on his twitter account he will play for the Komets this season.
  • Next great local hockey star?
Karch Bachman is on track to a professional career in hockey. Possibly one in the NHL. It'll be fun to follow his development.
  • A possible new Komet
No official word yet, but I'm hearing that the Komets may be completing a deal with Thomas Frazee, who had 24 goals and 47 points in 60 games last season with Quad City of the CHL.

Chaulk can take care of himself

Don't tell me Colin Chaulk can't take care of himself. Midway through the first period tonight with the Bloomington PrairieThunder, he just had a wild fight with Ryan Finnerty. Chaulk's jersey wasn't tied down, so he got a misconduct. But he proved he can throw 'em.

Looking back a couple weeks to that brawl with Muskegon, when some where saying Chaulk has no place in the fray, well, they were just proved wrong.

Goaltender Tim Haun looks solid so far, by the way.
