Syracuse driver killed after car hits tree

A Syracuse woman died Sunday morning her car struck a tree in Kosciusko County.

The crash occurred about 9 a.m. on Kosciusko County Road 900 North near County Road 550 East.

A witness said he watched 39-year-old Dorinda C. Conley, drive west on 900 North and then leave the roadway and slam into a tree.

Investigators are trying to determine why her car drove off the road.

Conely was pinned inside the car and had to be extricated by firefighters.

She died at the scene, police said.
