Ratliff out, Carter in

The Fort Wayne Mad Ants moved one player out and brought another in Wednesday, and the guy on the outs was former Indiana University guard and Indiana Mr. Basketball A.J. Ratliff.

Two days before the season opener against Erie, the Mad Ants waived Ratliff and added Jared Carter, a 7-1 center out of Kentucky who participated in their open tryout camp last month.

Carter, a native of Georgetown, Ky., played in 42 games for Kentucky between 2005 and 2009. He played for Team Dublin in the Eurobasket Summer League in Las Vegas last summer.
