A Warsaw man was arrested on charges he robbed a drugstore Monday night after police said his brother ratted him out for stealing his pickup.
David E. Buell, 30, walked into the Walgreens at 2400 E. Center St. in Warsaw about 9:45 p.m. with a shotgun and demanded the painkiller Oxycontin. He fled in a red pickup that Buells brother had reported stolen less than a half-hour before, police said.
Buells brother called police shortly after the robbery to report that Buell had returned to the home from where the truck was stolen. When officers arrived, Buell fled on foot. When officers arrested him, they found the stolen medication as well as shotgun shells. The shotgun was recovered from the pickup, police said.
He was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on charges of armed robbery and theft.
