The National Weather Services said northern Indiana, northwest Ohio and southwest lower Michigan are likely to see rain and snow for the holiday.
Colder air is forecast to arrive over the region on Thanksgiving and Friday, with rain showers mixing with and then changing to snow during the day and evening Thursday.
Minor accumulations are possible in grassy areas in a line from Winamac to LaGrange in Indiana to Coldwater, Mich., the weather service said.
No severe weather is predicted.
