Verbatim: 2009 Festival of Gingerbread award winners

Statement issued Friday:

Bakers of all ages entered a record-breaking 143 gingerbread creations in the 24th annual Festival of Gingerbread, which runs November 27 through December 13 at the History Center in Fort Wayne.

Judging of the entries took place on Saturday, November 21, and awards were announced and presented to the winners on Sunday, November 22.

Here are this year’s award winners:
