AT THE LIBRARY:

•The Allen County Public Library, 900 Library Plaza, will have “Time 2 Chime” hand chime choir practice at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Children’s Services.

•The Pontiac branch, 2215 S. Hanna St., has “Sit and Stitch” knitting at 4 p.m. Tuesdays and 4:30 p.m. Thursdays.

•The Woodburn branch, 4701 Indiana 101 North, has a “Yarn Lovers’ Gathering” Thursdays at 7 p.m.

ART CLASSES:

•Virginia Nance will present a jewelry making demonstration from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Artworks Holiday Art Gallery, 4150 W. Jefferson Blvd.

•Beth Wheeler and Lori Marquette will present a threadography demonstration from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Artworks Holiday Art Gallery, 4150 W. Jefferson Blvd.

FUNDRAISER: Artworks Holiday Art Gallery, 4150 W. Jefferson Blvd., is having a fundraiser for the SPCA from noon to 5 p.m. Dec. 5. They request a donation of pet food. Ten percent of the sales during the event will be donated to the SPCA.

TICKETS DONATED: The Fort Wayne Philharmonic is donating up to 500 tickets to the Dec. 10 performance of Holiday Pops to area non-profits. For those non-profits that wish to request tickets, e-mail steter@fwphil.org by Dec. 4.

VOCALIST AWARDED: Sarah Yanovitch, a sophomore vocal performance major at Huntington University, took first place in the sophomore women’s division of the Indiana National Association of Teachers of Singing competition.
