Coaching debuts made by Leising, Todor

The debuts by Snider boys basketball coach and Bluffton coach Kevin Leising weren't exactly equal.

Sure, both were making their starts with their respective teams but one (Leising) has a lot more experience on the bench than the other (Todor).

Leising has been a head coach before, including an eight-year stint at Bellmont about a decade ago. He has also been an assistant coach for the past nine years with Wayne Barker, now Bluffton's superintendent.

Todor has been an assistant as well with South Side and Wayne but hasn't even been coaching for a few years.

It might have shown a little bit as the Tigers got the best of the Panthers in the season opener 77-66 Saturday.

Speaking of Barker, the ultra-successful coach with the Tigers. He was honored in a pregame ceremony and postgame reception in the school's cafeteria.
