IU leads at halftime

Maurice Creek has 13 points as Indiana leads Northwestern State 45-35 at halftime. Devan Dumes added 10 points. Creek and Dumes both have two three-pointers.

The Hoosiers led the entire half. Both of Creek's three-pointers came in the first three minutes of the game, helping IU race to a 9-3 lead.

A three-pointer by Dumes with 6:51 to go pushed the lead to 38-23.

IU would make one more basket in the half, which came at 6:08 by Derek Elston.

Both teams struggled down the stretch. There was one field goal made in the final six minutes by either team.

The Hoosiers are shooting 42 percent from the floor and are 16 of 20 on free throws. Northwestern State is shooting 33 percent. Devon Baker leads the Demons with 10 points.
