Holiday events

Grace Episcopal Church, 10010 Aurora Place, will mark the season with an Advent Festival of Lessons and Carols at 7 p.m. Sunday.

A celebration of Christmas will be presented at 3 p.m. Sunday at Powers Church, nine miles east of Angola, north of U.S. 20 on Old Road 1. Attendees should dress warmly. A free-will offering will be taken.

A Lutheran/Catholic Advent Vespers service will be presented at 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Peter Catholic Church, 518 E. DeWald St.

Guest speaker

Pastor Charlie Sharpe of Heartland Ministries, founder of CNS International Ministries, will speak at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday and at 7 p.m. Monday at Imago Dei, 347 W. Berry St.

Special events

Sylvan Springs, Rome City, will host the Day of Prayer and Healing from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. today. Attendees should dress warmly.

“Keeping Our Lamps Burning Brightly” will be presented from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 5 at Victory Noll Center, 1900 W. Park Drive, Huntington. Cost is $25 and includes lunch and materials. Registration is due by Monday; call 260-356-0628, ext. 128.

Special music

The Harborside Quartet will perform at 6 p.m. Dec. 5 at Bethel Chapel Free Will Baptist, 2800 Rolston St.
