IU faces Maryland as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The game is at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Assembly Hall.
The Terrapins are 4-2. They were ranked nationally last week, but lost to Cincinnati and Wisconsin at the Maui Invitational.
Maryland has got it done on defense, allowing 57.7 points per game. The Terps have held opponents to .368 shooting from the floor. Maryland has turned the ball over 65 times in six games, but has forced 115 turnovers by its opponents (a plus-8.4 turnover margin).
"They do unique things," IU coach Tom Crean said Monday. "They will make it tough for us to get open on the wings."
Four players are averaging double figures in scoring, led by Landon Milbourne's 13.7 per game.
