A woman accused of helping rob a man while he was pumping gas in New Haven was arrested early Tuesday.

The robbery was reported just after 4 a.m. at the Speedway gas station at 103 E. Lincoln Highway. A man told New Haven police that as he was pumping gas, he was approached by a man dressed in dark clothing and wearing a mask. The robber pulled a handgun and demanded money, fleeing with the man’s wallet, police said.

Police pulled over a suspect vehicle and tried to apprehend the man, but he fled on foot.

A woman in the car, Lisa Oberkiser, 44, of the 6000 block of Moeller Road, was arrested on preliminary charges of aiding in robbery, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

She was being held in lieu of $10,000 bail.
