  • The IHL finally, officially, named the new ownership group in Dayton. Click here to see the press release. Terrible job by the league on this. It took more than 24 hours after the introductory press conference for them to release it. The league is always harping that people don't focus enough on the positives. This was a positive, allegedly, so it should have gone out immediately. People might have moved on sooner from the removal of owners Richard Bruner and Ryan Yerrick. Instead, this press release is an afterthough.
  • The Komets are wearing some pretty cool throwback jerseys tonight against the Quad City Mallards. I can't see any orange in them, though, and when was the last time they had a jersey without their famed orange?
  • Rick Varone remains out with a knee injury.
