The National Weather Service In northern Indiana has issued a winter weather advisory for a mixture of snow, sleet and freezing rain, which is in effect from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. today.
Snow is expected to re-develop this afternoon, the weather service said, and increase in coverage and intensity into the evening.
This will mix with sleet and possibly freezing rain at times before changing to all rain late this evening. Snow and sleet accumulations of up to 2 inches will cause some travel difficulties, according to the advisory.
