Fire leads to meth, pot charges

Two rural Wabash County residents were in jail Tuesday morning after a fire, accused of making methamphetamine west of North Manchester.

The Wabash County Sheriff’s Department was called to 13106 Bonestead Road Lot 4 at 1:15 p.m. Monday to assist the Pleasant Township Fire Department with a suspicious fire, according to a written statement from the sheriff’s department.

James "Jimmy" Hyden and Rebecca Poole were charged in connection with manufacturing meth, possession of meth and possession of marijuana. They were being held at the Wabash County Jail.

Also assisting were the sheriff’s Reserve Department, Indiana State Police and the Wabash Chapter of the American Red Cross.
