Golden Tate picks up Biletnifoff Award

Receiver Golden Tate leaves Notre Dame with some hardware.

Tate, who along with Jimmy Clausen announced he would be leaving for the NFL draft, was name the Biletnifoff Award winner as the top receiver in college football Thursday.

The junior set single-season school records with 93 receptions and 1,496 receiving yards and tied the mark for receiving touchdowns in a season with 15.

Tate was also named to the American Football Coaches Association All-American team Thursday.

Tate also shared his thoughts on the reports that Brian Kelly will be the next coach at Notre Dame during ESPN's broadcast of Home Depot ESPNU College Football Awards Show.

"Congratulations to him and I think he will do well," Tate said.
