The body of a 50-year-old Warsaw man was recovered from Winona Lake about 9 a.m. today after his wife had reported him missing, Indiana conservation officers reported.
The wife of Craig W. Norrell reported him missing after Norrell took his fishing boat out on the lake, conservation officers said in a statement.
Norrell frequently used his boat late in the evening, and his wife discovered at 4 a.m. that he had not returned, the statement said.
The capsized boat was located east of the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds, it said.
Norrell's body was found by a fairgrounds maintenance worker along the shoreline of fairgrounds property, the statement said.
Norrell was not wearing a life jacket, although life jackets were found in the boat, it said.
An autopsy is to be conducted Friday to determine the exact cause of death, the statement said. It said the incident remains under investigation.
