The Komets lost for the fourth time in five games, getting shut out 2-0 Saturday at Port Huron.
It was only the second time this season Fort Wayne (12-8-0-1) went without a goal. Dayton won, 3-0, on Dec. 5.
The Komets had already lost to the Icehawks earlier in the week, 4-2 on Wednesday.
Nick Lindberg’s shorthanded goal at 9:22 of the third period snapped a scoreless game. Derek Patrosso added a goal off a power play with 51 seconds left in the game.
In the final 30 seconds, there were eight penalties. Five were on the goalies. Fort Wayne’s Tim Haun was called for fighting major, misconduct and high stick with an attempt to injure. Port Huron’s Larry Sterling, who had 23 saves, was called for leaving the crease and a major fighting.
