    Mallex Smith, who was the TinCaps' center fielder for the 2013 season and the first half of 2014, was voted by fans as the top offensive player in the minor leagues during the past season.

TinCaps receive marketing honor

The Fort Wayne TinCaps were among three minor league teams in the country to receive Marketing Campaign of the Year honors from BallparkDigest.com. The consistent use of the team's logo in marketing efforts, as well as cable TV broadcasts of every home game were among the reasons Fort Wayne earned the honor.

The Dayton Dragons and Quad Cities River Bandits were also honored by Ballpark Digest.
