Bandits target pharmacy, dollar store

Fort Wayne police investigated two armed robberies Sunday, according to reports.

The first robbery was reported just after 8 a.m. Sunday at the Walgreens pharmacy at 1701 E. Paulding Road.

There two men entered the store. One held an employee at knifepoint while they took cash and cigarettes from the store, the report said. Full descriptions of the robbers were not available.

The second robbery was reported just after 9 p.m. Sunday at the Dollar General at 2740 Maplecrest Road.

There, police said two men entered the store armed with a handgun. The robbers demanded money and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, the report said. Complete descriptions of the robbers were not available.
