Passersby found a body this morning just north of Dewart Lake.
Indiana State Police said they got a call about 9:30 a.m. to the site in Kosciusko County. The remains were found off the east side of the road on County Road 400 East, just south of County Road 1050 North.
State police detectives and a crime scene investigator from the Bremen Post wrapped up the initial investigation about 2 p.m.
Little is known about the remains, police said. The man’s age and cause of death have not yet been determined. An autopsy had to be postponed until later this week, police said, because the body was frozen.
The state police are asking anyone with information about this case to contact the Bremen Post at 800-552-2959 or 574-546-4900.
