LaGrange man indicted on 3 child-porn counts

A LaGrange County man faces a federal indictment on charges of distributing and receiving child pornography.

Bryan J. Schlabach, 37, of Topeka, was indicted last week in a three-count indictment involving child pornography.

The indictment was unsealed Monday after Schlabach’s arrest, according court records.

According to federal court documents, he distributed material containing sexually explicit pictures of children on Feb. 25, 2007. Then from July 22, 2005, to June 27, 2007, he received material with sexually explicit pictures of children.

These charges were filed as the result of an investigation by the FBI and Queensland and Australia Police Service, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Indiana.

The indictment also seeks the forfeiture of two computers, three DVDs, one CD and 53 floppy disks.
