Taylor Swift and Beyoncé are among the artists set to perform next month at the 52nd annual Grammy Awards.

Beyoncé has 10 nominations; Swift has eight.

Other performers will be the Black Eyed Peas, Maxwell and country trio Lady Antebellum. The Recording Academy said more performers will be named soon.

The Grammys will be presented Jan. 31 in a show airing on CBS.

Sawyer so far soars

Diane Sawyer’s debut as anchor of ABC’s “World News” appeared to have boosted viewership of the evening newscast, even during a slow holiday week.

According to Nielsen data, an average of 8.9 million people tuned into ABC from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Monday. That’s a rough indication of the viewership of “World News,” because not every station carries the broadcast at that time. But it’s larger than the newscast’s season-to-date average of 8 million.

Quaids enter plea

A prosecutor says Randy and Evi Quaid have pleaded not guilty to felony charges of defrauding an innkeeper.

The couple appeared Tuesday in a Santa Barbara, Calif., courtroom. Senior Deputy District Attorney Lee Carter says they were released on $20,000 bail each.

They were taken into custody in Texas over the weekend after an arrest there Sept. 24. They are accused of using an invalid credit card to defraud San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito of more than $10,000.

Warning for rocker

Rocker Ronnie Wood, 62, of the Rolling Stones was given a formal police warning Tuesday for assault, spokesman David Rigg said.

Rigg confirmed that Wood received the warning after he was arrested this month for assault near his home in England.

The warning is not a criminal conviction but police note it for five years.
