Stauffacher rumors

There has been a hot rumor going around that the Komets may sign former Muskegon forward Luke Stauffacher in the coming weeks.

I asked Komets general manager David Franke about this, and he said the team has had no contact with Stauffacher because his rights belong to the Lumberjacks for a couple more weeks and it would be tampering for them to have communication with Stauffacher until then.

Stauffacher had 39 goals and 80 points in 70 games last season with Muskegon.
