Indiana stumbled down the stretch, falling to Michigan 69-45 Thursday in Ann Arbor.
The fact that the Hoosiers were only down five with six minutes to go was a minor miracle. IU played ugly for most of the game. But then again, so did Michigan. The Hoosiers had 19 turnovers. Michigan had 16. But the Wolverines had 21 points off of turnovers to IU’s four.
Indiana also didn’t have an answer for Manny Harris. The guard scored 17 of his 21 points after halftime. The Wolverines closed the game on a 21-2 run.
"We came unglued at the end after playing a very strong game and never letting ourselves get rattled. We did get rattled at the end because of the abilities of Manny Harris and the abilities of DeShawn Sims," IU coach Tom Crean said.
