Third time for D.Y.

It wasn't long ago when I posted that Deilvez Yearby has all the tools to be the best player in the Summit League.

Seems as though the Summit League is beginning to agree with me.

For the third time this season, Yearby, the Mastodons' 6-foot-6 forward, was named the league's Player of the Week - an honor he shared with Oral Roberts' Warren Niles.

Yearby averaged 15.5 points, 10 rebounds and six blocked shots in leading IPFW to victories over Southern Utah and UMKC.

Yearby will have to have similar performances when IPFW goes on the road this week for a game at South Dakota State on Thursday and at North Dakota State on Saturday.

Steve Warden blogs all things IPFW.
