Taking a look at Penn State

Indiana travels to Penn State today for a 7 p.m. game at the Bryce Jordan Center. The game is on ESPN2.

Though the Nittany Lions (8-9, 0-5) have not won a Big Ten game, three of the five losses have come by five points or less.

"The thing that is misleading about Penn State right now is their record," IU coach Tom Crean said. "There is no question they can have four wins in league play. The games have been so close for them."

Talor Battle leads the team in scoring at 18.4 points per game. He also has a team-high 5.6 rebounds.

"They have one of the premiere players in the country in Talor Battle," Crean said. "There's no doubt about that. From end to end, his speed is amazing. The only thing that we can give as an example would be John Wall, when you look at speed with the basketball from one end to the other, whether he's in transition or whether he's at the top of the key going into a pick-and-roll game."
