Living up to the hype?

I apologize that I've been a little out of touch, but I've been knee-deep in coverage of the Colts this week.

However, I wanted to bring you this week's link to Gary Snyder's "Sports Night." It can be accessed to your right. Lincoln Kaleigh Schrock is on during the first half of the show, and I appear at about the 27-minute mark.

  • The Komets, of course, play at Muskegon, Mich., on Friday night. But I'm not entirely sure I wouldn't have a touch more interest in the Flint vs. Bloomington game, after they brawled in their last tilt. Click here to read a reporter's coverage in The Flint Journal. The Generals are expected to sign a bunch of tough guys, so the rematch could live up to the hype.
  • I neglected to post this earlier in the week: Steve Penhollow talks with The Rock about playing a hockey player going up against the fictional Fort Wayne Roughnecks.

Justin A. Cohn, pro sports coordinator for The Journal Gazette, has been covering the Fort Wayne Komets since 1997. His reporting includes game stories from home and away, features about the players and personalities associated with the Komets, plus coverage of issues affecting hockey at all levels. A native of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., Cohn graduated from Emory University in Atlanta. He can be reached at 260-461-8429 or by email at jcohn@jg.net.
