Today's reason: Dee-fense.
No, not the Jets'. The Colts'.
The Jets' "D" has gotten all the pub this week, just as the Ravens' "D" did last week. But remember what happened: Come game day, it was the Colts who shut down the Ravens, not the other way around.
Don't be shocked if it happens again Sunday.
Don't be shocked if the Jets' ball-control run game -- the linchpin of their expected game plan -- runs aground on the undersize, underplayed Colts defense. In Week 16, after all, the Jets averaged just 3.8 yards per carr against the Colts' front-liners. And that was without Robert Mathis, Clint Session and Jerraud Powers.
The Jets eventually managed 202 yards in 44 tries, but 111 of those came against the Colts' freshman team. That team will be cheering from the sidelines on Sunday.
And so: Look for the Colts' defense to get the Jets offense off the field enough for Peyton Manning to do his thing.
