And Another Thing

New Orleans Saints fans celebrate on Bourbon Street in the French Quarter after the Saints defeated the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.

Prez pickin' Saints

This just in: The President of the United States has weighed in on the Super Bowl, and he's picking ... New Orleans.

Mostly, Barack Obama says, for sentimental reasons.

I'm down with that. I said on the Blob yesterday, it's simply a better storyline if the Saints win, because they're kind of the ultimate underdog. My head, however, still says Colts by double digits.

I'll say this, though: I like it that we have a president who actually picks someone in these matters. Not like the standard politician's waffle -- which reached its apex when Hillary Clinton, a lifelong Cubs fan, pronounced herself a Yankees fan when she was running for the Senate in New York.

Yeah, right.
