Lesson of the day: 'No comment'

Sometimes you read something that you just can't believe was said.

This is one of those times.

A writer at The Flint Journal has information about the Generals' rookie broadcaster, Joey Battaino, who has left the team because of alleged unpaid wages. For the record, I think Battaino is a pretty good broadcaster.

But here's the funny part. Asked about the situation, Flint's general manager, Peter South, said: "Yeah, he's owed some money. But it's also his first year of broadcasting. I'd think doing the job starting his career is more important than a little bit of money, but if that's where he wants to put his priorities, that's his decision."

Sometimes, a good "no comment" really is the best strategy. With that, let's all take unpaid internships in the real world.
